There is a massive oversaturation of those kinds of fangames.
To not only differentiate itself from the rest, but to also allow for new ideas that hasn't been worked to death to blossom.
I mean it'd take more work, which is why I'm sure it wouldn't happen, but it's really the only way I'd personally be interested in another fan project.
