blaziken doesn't really have a 'personality', it's just a fighting. the gen 4 starters are more obviously themed after stuff but not nearly to the extent of later gens. gen 5's designs aren't good but other than samurott they aren't jobmon any more than gen 4 was.
it's when you get to gen 6 and can describe each one as 'theme animal' it gets bad. "ninja frog, knight chipmunk, witch fox", and so on.
