>>51785727>You get a lump of compressed skin cells but it isn't armorWhat is armor except to protect against wear and tear in a region?
That's literally its function. It's an adaptation to protect against wear and tear in that specific region. It's incredibly weak and unlikely to get you to survive a knife, in the same way that kevlar isn't going to let you take a tank shell with a few broken bones.
>realistic attempt>literally anything about Pokemon>closely matching realismAnon, the rules of physics would have to be so radically different to our own for Pokemon to even exist in the first place.
>There is nothing special abut human evolution in the series, in fact, quite the oppositeDon't make me remind you about Sinnoh which started the whole debate on whether or not Pokemon evolved differently, because it evidently did.
And don't even get me started on the anime, where Ash can handle a 158 pound Pokemon like it's a fucking football.
You don't have to be an ass about headcanons which are CLEARLY marked as such.
I'll end this off with what I said before, because it makes a fucking point about why I came to that conclusion.
>As you can imagine, both have their extreme differences, so creative solutions have to be made if you wish to try to unify it without just throwing out one side.
