Whenever someone uses Swords Dance or Dragon Dance in the anime, they never say it raised the "Attack stat". They say it raised "attack power", which means all of their attacks are now stronger. Same with defense, as shown by Kukui's Incineroar using Bulk Up to better defend against Torracat's Fire Blast
