>>46810648These games are overhyped. They're fine but it's easy to get underwhelmed because they're so overhyped. It's not just the fanbase either, you ever saw that BW2 animated trailer? Holy shit they really went extra with BW2. BW2's story is actually lackluster all things considered because the climax is way more lame than BW's.
I think I finally found out what Unova's problem was. There's a lot to the games but not a lot of depth. There just needed to be more development. N and Team Plasma needed more to do outside the climax. Cheren and Bianca needed to do more. The Sages, Anthea, and Concordia needed more involvement in the story. I need Ghetsis's backstory and maybe animate the N vs Alder fight a bit, just something small like Reshiram/Zekrom beating Volcarona at the end so the threat is fully established. This would make the story longer and I know people mainly care about the postgame and competitive but I feel Unova as it is is half-baked.
