Not perfect, the map is too linear and the Gym leaders/E4 having less mons is lame, but the story is well told, the level curve is actually perfect, and while I've always been neutral towards unova designs, seeing them in game has really made me like them, they suit the games aesthetic a lot. In regards to there only being unova mons in the game... well, I can genuinely see why that would be sticking point for most, like I get the hate, but I'm one of those autists who only uses mons from a given gen anyway, so personally I didn't even notice.
Honestly what I like best about it is just the feel, I know most of you are gonna say that's retarded but that's how I judge games, I can't always tell what is and isn't good about a game or explain why I like or dislike it, but what I CAN always tell is whether or not it feels like I'm enjoying myself or not, and I enjoyed pokemon black.
What's awesome tho is that Black 2 looks like it's just black plus more areas and pokemon and a huge ass amount of side content. Can't fucking wait.
Unovafags are still annoying tho, you guys aren't victims, every single fucking gen gets hate
