As a final point, I'd like to note that everyone is making it seem like pokegen is a natural progression. I'd counter that pokemon X/Y was fine without and that the convenience factor for a select few people is not worth fucking up wonder trade, the GTS, casual battling, etc.
Everything is fine as is, it's fun to play when you know everything is completely legit as Gamefreak intended. Why ruin it to save yourself a few hours? It just seems selfish and shortsighted.
