Notice when that when another developer uses the IP everything is of a much higher quality. Look at mystery dungeon for example; ALL 386 were well animated for a sprite game, the music was leagues better than the trumpets of r/s/e and there was an actual story..
The story is the same with every single generation, gamefreak honestly doesn't care; they know that retards will buy this game no matter what.
Other games that make valiant efforts of the same genre fall by the wayside. It pisses me off
