Finally got something to post, although some of you already know about this one. On thursday I finally caught Shiny Darkrai.
This is my longest SR hunt to date, and also the hardest capture I have ever done.
The hunt itself had gone on for over 6 weeks, and I dont keep a count of SRs but id put it somewhere over 10,000 at least.
I encountered him around 4:30, 5pm, and having done plenty of test captures (false swiping, sleeping and using dusk or ultra balls) and never really had a problem catching it.
Being day time, I was using Ultras. And it just would not stay in the ball. It was hell. I then did a quick check on how many ultra balls I had thrown, and realised he had used over half his pp already. I tried a few more, and got panicky. I had already used my Masterball on shiny Giratina
So decided to wait until after 8pm to try duskballs, although I am not even sure if the time change counts if you are still in a battle.
Much later than 8pm (stuff got in the way, left the DS on the charger). I came back to the battle.
Obviously, I caught it, but recently checked the previous save file (I always back up my saves) and compared the amount of ultra/duskballs, I realised he was 7 moves off struggling to death.
So, yea, that was bloody close.
I was going to try for arceus but I got a lot of training to do, so I think I'll go for the lake spirits first.
