If the perish song is a problem, why not run a soundproof pokemon? What would that mega gengar set do to exploud, while 2 of it is moves are walled (the shadow ball and perish song) and the last 2 can't be used against it, only for scouting.
The gengar needs 1 turn to setup to get into mega, so why not baiting it with some pokemon, which your opponent sees as a threat, then quickly switch. Also does the knock off work on mega stones? Trick? Curse? Anything?
I've never understood the banning of pokemons, expect the "no legendaries" rule, that is from pokemon stadium, so that stuff is old.
Or maybe I'm just too old for pokemons and thinking too deep, after all it is a fun game, but very childish Yet so complex, why I like it and fell in love yet again
