Pokemon Presents on September 24th. I work in localisation for Europe (French particularly), so I will try to translate names into ENG where I can.
Direct sequel of PLA. Arceus tries sending you back home to Kalos but sends you 20 years into the future of Kalos by mistake. A girl named Maple brings you to Quasar Labs: a company dedicated to not only Pokemon research, but making the world better for people AND Pokemon - particularly with the Urban Redevelopment Plan of Lumiose City. Quasar is run by Trevor. Professor Sycamore is now a grey-haired handsome man who does research at Quasar. Maple is his niece.
You mainly do missions for Quasar which help redevelop certain parts of Lumiose. However, you need to convince the five Ward Representatives in each part of Lumiose that redevelopment would be good for them by doing missions for them and/or fighting boss Pokemon.
Auroraboros is a new legendary dragon-type Pokemon that plays a huge role. You see it briefly. It is a rival of Zygarde, which lives underneath Lumiose now. Like Zygarde, it also has ‘cores’ that seem to be causing Pokemon to devolve.
Starters are the Kalos starters but they have new evolutions. Some in-game dialogue in trailer talks about Froakie’s new form ("Huh? Kerogun? Isn't it supposed to evolve to Greninja?")
Towards the end of the trailer we get a bunch of quick cuts showing:
- 3 new megas: Darmanitan, Octillery, and Aegislash
- 2 new regional forms: Dwebble with a white body and sort of pastry-style shell, and a latte/coffee-motif Sinistea
- Xerneas and Yvetal’s eyes with rainbow light swirling inside of them
- Grown up Shawna, Diantha, Dexio, Sina, and Bonnie
- A man in a trenchcoat walking through the city with dialogue implying to be Looker ("Some call me handsome, you know.")
Release date just says “March 2025”.
