My 16-year-old brother's been into it as long as I have. I'm definitely the bigger fan, though, he only really cares about beating the main storyline and catching whatever Pokemon he thinks are cool (usually the legendaries). He always gets one game, I get the other, and then we trade with each other and have a bit of a race (he almost always beats me, I grind too much). Thank goodness for wifi or we wouldn't still be able to do this.
His favorite Pokemon is Charizard and he trades his legendary Pokemon from his old games into his new ones as soon as possible so he can rape shit.
Last I talked to him about Pokemon, he was pretty excited for X and Y and his favorite new starter was Chespin (he's preferred grass the past few gens, so I'm not too surprised). He's been without internet access since May because he's been in a special facility helping him with his depression and anxiety, but he'll probably be back in time for us to plan who's getting what before I have to go away to university again.
