There are assholes who have multiple accounts with different teams and use them to kick out the lowest teammate to make room for themselves and their shitmons.
In a crowded gym, you are now competing against your teammates.
Changing teams in an opportunistic attempt to get better traction in a gym is just going to backfire for all the people who aren't already having a fun time in a gym because you probably don't have the high level battlers who could keep you in the gym to begin with.
