I didn't think about it further. (The irony, of course, is that sin is considered to make man incomplete and imperfect, things that Cyrus hates about the world.)
How did I discover this? I think I was trying to research what the games said about Giratina... Whether Cyrus hated Giratina or not. Whether Cyrus achieved his goal or not.
Actually, he did achieve his goal (first Pokemon villain to actually do that?), but it didn't destroy the world.
