I like Gen 3 because I like FRLG. Traded over Johto and Hoenn mons after doing the Sevii quest to teambuild, too. Hoenn's not bad though, but I do wish it had better encounters. RS was plagued with Zigzagoon and Wingull, and Emerald didn't do much. It's a strange argument to make when FRLG's got the same problem, but it probably sticks out more for me in Hoenn since there's a lot of cool new mons that don't get to shine.
