from what i see, if they are dating, they are dating the best looking (by far) guy of the bunch who looks like he shouldnt even be hanging out with the group since he looks so normal/fit with good hair, face, body, clothes, clearly no disabilities you can tell by the way he talks or his mannerisms (obviously this isnt the case when the girl is a landwhale, just when the girl isnt fat, pretty much). it was the same way when everyone was out playing pokemon go, although it was a sausage fest, the few girls were always by the guys who dont even look like they belong in the group of nerds/anime viewers/etc
so basically the actually hot nerd girl doesnt date any of the other nerd guys, which there are a lot of, but a good looking guy who barely plays a video game, or just one game, if that, and dont forget the charisma too
so they go for the guys that all other girls like to go for, which is something i saw coming and one reason why i still cant get laid, and no ugly pokemon player is ever a bf unless the player is a girl
