Mega Salamence boasts that 120 base Speed stat and a STAB-of-choice that's guaranteed to at least deal damage to every single Pokemon in the game. Meanwhile, sending in a Togekiss or Air Balloon/Magnet Rise Klefki forces Mega Garchomp to bring out a coverage move no matter what. Mega Garchomp will never be able to pull off a mono-attacker set, while Mega Salamence doesn't even need to run anything else.
