You can help raise other people's Pokemon, meeting certain criteria's that they want (I want it to be level 30 and know Hydro Pump) for money. You can keep some of the eggs that trainers don't want to build up your own party. You can use the party to go out and collect resources you need for training. You can upgrade the DayCare. You'll have to feed them, bathe them, give them attention and they all have different requirements based on Pokemon and nature. A naughty Pokemon will have to be given more attention or it might cause some damages in the DayCare if it's neglected, for example.
