Judging by the fact that Torterra is the only Gen IV rep in the movie along with some oddball late gen representation like Comfey, Morelull, Bouffalant instead of Tauros, Loudred, Ludicolo, Snubbull and the like. It at times feels like many of the chices were just Pokemon that the staff liked personally, although if that were the case, i wouldn't mind seeing more of that. I'd love to see what underappreciated pokemon will pop up in the future Pokemon cinematic universe. Would love to see a Golisopod at one point.
