>>43900478Honestly, Game Freak or TPCI probably didn't have any interest to ever have a sequel made, like they've said before, but after all the bad publicity with SWSH, they finally relented and gave fans a fan-service game just to get them on their side again and shut up.
We didn't see anything major in the game, not even it's UI, so it's entirely possible they rushed out what we did see in 7 months. Having generic (but nice looking) landscapes we see from specific angles and animating a few dozen Pokemon wouldn't take that long to produce a 1-minute trailer, and with no release date in sight, it'll be well over a year until we get it (giving them plenty of time to make an actual game.)
