I just bought his artbook I realized almost everything I thought of him was wrong. It's extremely shitty for an artist to drastically change style to something they are clearly not comfortable doing (considering how stiff and bland and sometimes with mistakes lot of the art from that era was compared to everything from Valkyrie, Quinty, etc.) just to ride popularity of another thing and even shittier to have people saying to go back to it but now Pokemon doesn't need Toriyama to be popular and never did.
