Think about it. Pokerus helps your Pokemon grow a whole lot easier and become more powerful. The villains could try and exploit the virus to their own will. And then their experiment could go horribly wrong or something, causing the Pokerus organism to mutate.
This could be the legendary for the game. A huge, mutated Pokerus organism. After all, the game even states that Pokerus is a microorganism that infects Pokemon.
It could have different forms, too. Its base form would probably be pure Poison. But giving it a certain item (or some other method) could make it something like Computer Virus Form, which would make it Poison/Electric. Or Pneumonia Form, which would make it Poison/Ice. Fever Form would be Poison/Fire. The possibilities are endless.
Could be called Virush or something. Discuss.
