>>23172757If I were to pick a Gen V rep for Pokémon in Smash I'd probably pick Zoroark. Despite the failed mascot attempt, I think it could have an interesting moveset that plays like Wolf.
For specials, Punishment is a move that does more damage the higher your damage is (kind of like Lucario's aura but only for one specific move), Night Daze works like Mewtwo's Disable, Snarl as a medium-range attack to the side that also pushes the opponent away if it misses, recovery move is U-Turn where it moves in a small upward arc that damages anyone touched by it.
The final smash is a cutscene like Captain Falcon's/Duck Hunt's -- Zoroark uses Illusion to turn into Master Hand and startle the opponent, and while the opponent is startled it Sucker Punches them.
Obviously the main issue with this is Zoroark is a Pokéball Pokémon so if it were ever added it'd be in Smash 5 (where it'd be even less relevant than its current irrelevance as a failed mascot), as well as Greninja being a Dark-type (though Bisharp has the same problem).
That and the fact that it'd attract furries almost as bad as Krystal.
