>>53843781They held the event in a public park in one of the largest cities in the world and didn't think that any extra people would show up, but they did. On top of niantic's servers being overloaded and preventing people from playing the game at all, the cell towers were overloaded and prevented people from getting signal. On top of THAT, the raids themselves were buggy. People would get booted out and not get their pass back, people standing right next to gyms would get the "not close enough" message, and people would sometimes not get primal energy when they were supposed to. And THEN, the apology niantic gave was to extend their buggy raids for an extra hour and gave us a stack of remote passes that deleted themselves if you already had remote passes. For the privilege of experiencing this, I paid $80.
