I fell in love with the artstyle of the older Pokemon movies. It was so authentic, so nostalgic for a place I've never been yet felt right at home as soon as I saw it.
It's no wonder I can't even try and watch the newer stuff out of curiocity, the aesthetic is just so childish, unrealistic, and without any love or care.
Call it nostalgia-fagging all you want, but the art was much better back then--much more authentic and dear to heart.
