I'm gonna level with you OP. I really do enjoy Best Wishes. I've enjoyed it probably the most of any saga since the original. I really enjoy all the main characters, and I like their Japanese VAs. Light Yagami and Madoka are traveling around with Ash. That's fucking great. The dub ones are horrid, but you shouldn't be watching that anyways. The fact that they rushed through the gyms and story without a fuckton of filler bogging it down like Diamond and Pearl is great too. I also wish the tsunami hadn't happened to save that great special, but I'm not pretending there was some huge quality drop after that. That's just ridiculous. I also absolutely love the rivals the series has had. They are possibly some of the best rivals to ever grace the series, and I got a Gary vibe from some of Langley's exchanges with Iris. Iris has easily been my favorite traveling companion, and I love how she doesn't derail the plot constantly. She's also slightly more competent than most of his traveling companions. It is like they split Brock evenly between Cilan and her. Sure, Ash is suddenly stupid, but the writers seem to have made that the plan all along rebooting him entirely to play off the cast further. The individual episodes have been quite entertaining, and like every saga there have been good arcs and bad arcs.
But the thing is, no matter how much I assure you that I enjoyed Best Wishes and name reason for liking it this still won't change your opinion on it. You have already made up your mind, and I guess we just all can't like the same things so I hope you enjoy the next saga more because Best Wishes has been a blast for me.
