She runs a completely virtual gym challenge in a popular online Pokemon battling simulator. She says this is for "accessibility" reasons (ie for people who are physically handicapped and unable to get badges from a gym in-person) but in reality she just wants to laze around on her computer all day.
Her gym puzzle involves learning about and then performing an occult ritual, which is something too dangerous to perform casually in real life. It's a safe learning environment for future psychics, mediums, and hex maniacs.
Unbeknownst to her, her gym instance is haunted by an actual evil spirit. It hasn't done anything (yet).
