I never said the original ways of finding Feebas or Mirage Island were good choices. I actually agree with the decision ORAS made to have conditions needed to unlock legendaries at the new Mirage Islands. Finding a random shiny is a good experience, but too bad they have been devalued to even legitimate players thanks to all the ways to reduce the RNG.
