Sugimori intended to futuproof him by making him one of the few Pokemon able to talk, but i'm glad they gave him the boot and focused on better pokemon. It'd be cool if Greninja would replace him because i'd rather a more adaptable and off-kilter design that lends itself to many scenarios (like the gross and creepy Lab scenes) instead of the default one-note stoic hero faggot shit we would've gotten.
