Thoughts on hacking rare candies in order to remove grinding, as long as level caps are enforced?
Personally, I've completed many runs and the farther I get into the gane, the worse the grind to catch up a replacement Pokémon from the PC becomes. This is especially excruciating in the Johto games where it's just feels like a massive waste of time, even moreso when you make a mistake due to the repetitiveness of the grind and the very pokémon you were training dies.
That's why doing this seems better to me as long as you play with level caps on as it just cuts down time and frustration. Besides, it's not like it doesn't have drawbacks (no EV gain whatsoever)
The only situations where I can see it detracts from the challenge are for example at the start of the BW postgame, where most random trainers can obliterate your team due to the massive 10 level gap; in my experience, the best way to catch up with them is to stealthily navigate towards the Giant Chasm and then Audino grind there. That's still grinding but there's actual risk involved in getting there without running into overleveled trainers, something which would be lost with just giving rare candies.
