I'm sure this is nothing new, but it occurred to me recently that I could easily collect regionals by way of a 'burner account'.
Basically, I make a new account with a separate email and level it to 10 for trading purposes, catch a few of my region's unique Pokemon (Tauros, in my case), then give my account's login details to someone overseas. They login, trade a Tauros to their main Go account, use the same burner account I gave them to catch their region's unique Pokemon, then allow me to log back in to my burner account and trade the Mr. Mime they caught for me to my main account.
I just got a Mr. Mime without leaving the US.
My question is: Is this 'legal' in Niantic's book of bannable offenses? Or would I risk getting my main account suspended for such actions?
Thoughts?
