I would have never ever guessed they actually made full resolution backs for blue only to still keep RG's half res ones. We are super lucky they still reused most of them here but It's unfortunate they had already started the newer style for pokes like Rattata when this rom was built. Having the original 151 full res blue pokemon back sprites to inject into RB to restore how it was intended would be insane.
