>>54499014Ninetales has some serious flaws that make the choice for your Screens setter less obvious.
>Can only set screens when Snow is up>Noticeably frail>2nd slowest popular screens setter, only faster than Sandy Shocks>Weak to Sneaky Pebbles, the only screen setter with this weakness>Gets outsped by several offensive threats that can OHKO it, making it a risky proposition >Poor matchup against Sun teams, and this is Sun's best generation ever >No immunity to Raging Bull, Brick Break, or Psychic FangsA-Ninetales is very clearly a good Pokemon, but I wouldn't say it's entirely problematic. It's the most potent at setting up screens, but it lacks the utility and ease of use that the others provide. Sandy Shocks, Scream Tail, and Dragapult all offer better role compression, and Grimmsnarl is impossible to stop from getting screens up on account of priority and immunity to Prankster Taunt. Hell, Grimm is actually one of the best answers to Ninetales since it can Prankster Taunt A-Tales and get up its own screens.
