It isn't even Kanto pandering because an assload of popular Kanto mons were cut, most notably the other fucking starters. Of all the shit with Gen 8, this has stunned me the most. For what fucking purpose? Did they actually all sit down, go "Oops! All Charizard!" and think that was a good idea? Up until this post I've been laughing at near everything leaked about SwSh, but the reality of all this bullshit is really starting to creep in. Christ alive what a shitshow.
