>>18938707It's the only genuinely well-designed thing in the worst generation of them all. Other stuff in there is okay, but Heatran is actually a cool Pokemon. Its inspiration is also fucking awesome, as it seems to be inspired by a synapsid (The most famous member of that family would be the Dimetrodon), and as someone who had a huge interest in paleontology as a kid, I find it absolutely awesome that they'd reference a relatively obscure family of extinct animals instead of going HURR TOROSAURUS HURR APATOSAURUS HURR T-REX HURR PACHYCEPHALOSAURUS (If you don't recognise it by name, look it up on Google Images and you will). Heatran, with its mouth, stubby tail and leg stance looks a lot like a synapsid, and that's fucking awesome.
