>>49372023I've played it for about 10-12 hours IIRC but that's misleading in terms of how far through the game I am; I've just been doing the observation missions and sidequests, levelling pokemon etc. I'm still really early in the story. It's definitely got this great feel to it - like, manually throwing an empty pokeball to do a "raw" catch of a pokemon, or switching to a pokeball with someone in to initiate battle. Having to aim, having to sneak up. Even in battle, you select the pokeball and press the throw button to attempt a capture, it feels tactile rather than this clinical, menu-based thing.
You can just throw a pokemon's ball to an empty space and have them stand outside - though this is an example of it being barebones. They just stand there and maybe do some basic animations. It'd be cool if they interacted with the environment, if you could now drop a campfire like BotW and then have a poke-camp like in SwSh. That kind of thing.
