This episode is a solid 8/10 with subs, it set out to do what it was meant to pretty well:
>showcase Koharu as a main characrer
>reintroduce Dawn
>have a believable reason as to why the people involved all traveled to sinnoh for their own reasons(rocket to catch rai/cress, Koharu/Dawn passing through to go to a contest, Ash/Goh investigating Darkrai)
>set everything up for next episode with an honestly pretty kino ending scene
However I’ll be honest: I think my overall review of the special(as will probably everyone else’s) HEAVILY depends on whether part 2 sticks the landing. There’s a lot to get through.
