You can see her spiritual successors in Lillie and Marnie.
Though Lillie can be divisive, in that many people thought the game had too much cutscenes, like in XY with the friends group, and the story being Lillie focused when Shauna could not exist and mich wouldn't change, I feel they pulled back on Marnie, making her have only a few interactions with the player until she becomes your cheerleader during macro cosmos battles.
They still gave her an alt waifu design though.
