Sinnoh was an incredible region with tons of variety overall and a pretty decent selection of pokemon (and some evolutions for pokemon that really needed them). Legendaries were good (although maybe there were a bit too many) and the lore was deep, but easy enough to follow. In addition to all of that, the bass/piano-heavy music was incredible, definitely the best soundtrack in pokemon. HGSS were great remakes too, since GF gave an old world a new look and made it work incredibly well (the music in those games was pretty great too).
