>>32577691 here, still no Shiny Omanyte. I've gotten close, but have gotten screwed several times by one bad stat. Mainly in response to what >>32580042 said, I'll give an in-depth guide as to what you can get shiny in Gen 1. The Pokemon that you can obtain as shiny are as follows:Bulbasaur
Charmander
Squirtle
Eevee
Nidorina (Red only)
Nidorino (Blue only)
Abra
Scyther (Red/Yellow)
Pinsir (Blue/Yellow)
Clefairy (Red/Blue)
Vulpix (Yellow only)
Wigglytuff (Yellow only)
Porygon (R/B/Y, but cheapest in Blue)
Dratini (Red/Blue, but cheapest in Red)
Articuno
Zapdos
Moltres
Mewtwo
For the starters, it is possible to get them shiny in Red and Blue, but the best possible way of that happening is transferring it to another Gen 1 VC game and level it up via Rare Candy. I imagine it would be easier by obtaining them in Yellow and level them up there, or just get them in a different generation altogether. Also from what I heard, it's possible to get shiny DV spreads by fishing, but I'm not sure, and I ust listed all available shiny Pokemon obtained as a gift or otherwise stationary. Nidorina all the way down to Dratini are available as shinies via Game Corner.
