The whole fic's tone got really awkward after that as Karen did the whole "I'm not ready, blah blah blah, can we still be friends" thing. And maybe I'm misremembering, but the author really dragged this out for like a couple dozen or more chapters, really driving in the nail of how fucking awkward it all is.
And keep in mind this is in what's essentially a power fantasy fic where the MC shocks and awes everyone with his isekaijin knowledge. So to include something so humiliating is nothing short of incredible.
