The group of influencers that Niantic booted her from is very valuable even though they don't get paid. Niantic feeds them information early, allowing them to make videos and have the videos go live side by side when announcements go live.
Take Nuck for example. He records his announcement videos a day or two before the announcement goes public. He then schedules the video to go live at a specific time Niantic tells him. The announcement goes live, then Nuck's video is there for the public to see right away.
Both parties benefit from this. The influencers get immediate views right as the info is dropped, thus making more ad revenue and getting better algorithmic exposure. Niantic gets free promotion across Youtube/Twitch/Twitter etc etc etc.
