If you had just lost your entire Living Dex, including all of your shinies, and you had found a way to magically bring all of your shinies back if you just catch one the same species in the same area in the same game as the shinies you lost originated from, would you then do it? The only difference between your lost shinies and your new "clones" of them would be their Personality Values, Natures and IVs, and of course the Date of Capture. Would these differences be too much for you to accept them as yours, or would you happily go through with it to get your lost children back again?
Hypothetical scenario #2, answer separately.
If you answered Yes to the above, would you still do it with a shiny, of which you have crystal clear memories catching when you were a kid, which would've been your first ever shiny, even though you were unsure whether or not it was legit? As in, little 5 year old or so you learned how to hack your old Pokémon games at some point during your childhood, and now 15 years later you cannot distinguish your memories of playing with the hacks and finding this shiny, so that the integrity of its legality becomes uncertain to you. Would you still want it back with everyone else? Knowing that it is your very first shiny ever? But also knowing that it MIGHT not be legal, yet only maybe?
