That's basically exactly what would happen if they fought, Necrozma canon cannot die, because it is light, it canon is not affected by time, because it is light, it canon has the most destructive power in the universe, because it is light, it has infinite/endless energy at its finger tips, because it is light and finally it is constantly getting stronger and stronger as it consumes more light.
Face it, there's no powerforce in the Pokemon universe that could ever hope to defeat Necrozma.
