Being a Hoennbaby let me enjoy them as much as did- just not enough to see the writing on the wall. They feel like entirely different games depending on whether you play them in a vacuum, where you might rate them similarly to the originals, and in the grand scheme, where they have a few great ideas but clearly and deliberately short-changed and "but those deliriously through Emerald hacks!" is NEVER going away, and it sucks.
