The clouds appeared with Steelix cause they were INSTANTIATED AS CHILDREN OF IT'S MODEL. That is exactly how something like that works. There's no bad practice here.
The steelix thing has NOTHING to do with loading a seperate model, cause it's not loading anything in that scene. It's a fucking culling error. They have a shitty script for turning the visibility of characters on and off for cutscenes.
We see the same fucking shit happen in this webm. It only lasted for a few frames in this case, but the point is they're clearly deriving from the same bug:
>Cutscene happens (for Steelix it's Arcanine Dynamaxing, for this it was Nessa giving a speech)>Turns off visibility on all characters not in the cutscene so nothing gets in the way of the camera>Black screen transition happens>Script supposed to turn everyone back on>Both cases it fucks up and misses the timing on turning them on Steelix seemed to be totally missed by the script though, and only turned on once the camera finished one pan and some backup check occured and went "Oh, this is still off, turn it on." That's why it comes back after the camera finishes it's panning motion, not because it's loading anything.
There's so much actually wrong with this game. Can you PLEASE STOP USING THIS FAKE SHIT BASED ON NOT UNDERSTANDING HOW GAMES WORK.
