I don't personally hate it, just as I don't like it that much. Its an interesting concept, Egyptian Anibus which sees auras of others, fighting sort of works since it has the boxing theme going for it but Psychic for what its worth is way more fitting than Steel.
Being shoved in our faces like its some super amazing pokemon doesn't help either, when somethings always forced in then you start to get sick of seeing it over and over, if it just had one generation of fame in gen 4, it wouldn't be so bad honestly.
What really just made me not care for it anymore was the pandering of being one of the very first to get a mega, have a whole chapter of XY dedicated to it, the tower with a huge statue of it along with praise from everyone and even one being handed to you and being your 'first' mega evolution without much choice in the matter.
