>>53675532I disagree with your opinion. Since DP Ash doesn't have room to improve as a character if he is never going to age. In BW they dumbed him down, didn't work. In XY they accepted that Ash at this point is static so they made his companions develop under his influence. Sadly the higher ups were still adamant to not let him win like in DP. Then SM with another attempt to dumb Ash down albeit in a less irritating way which turned out to be a failure because as I saiud before Ash at that point did not have the room to grow as a person. So the execs (propably influenced by BURASTO) decided to say fuck it and let him win. This opened a new can of worms which resulted in once again static Ash being a source of developments for other characters which ended in him becoming a world champion. Now what? He defeated the undefeated and his personality is the same for 15 years already. Give him a break.
Friede in my opinion has the most basic Ash quirks and IMO that's how Ash would behave as a teenager/young adult. Looks good so far.
