OP, it's because it's super easy and it felt like a downgrade to many people, same with ORAS. I personally enjoyed both games, with ORAS being in my top 3 Pokemon games, but Gen 6 came with as many negatives as it did positives in my opinion, while the other Gens didn't have as many problems. Still good stuff though.
