You basically destroy the fun in catching a shiny or breeding a perfect IV Pokemon because it's not special since there's thousands of cheated ones out there and there's no way to differentiate them.
How is it a good thing to ruin major aspects of the game?
It's like if you made an MMO and people were allowed to cheat to gain the best armors and weapons in the games and tried to justify it by saying "I'm not dumb enough to waste my time doing the content to get this gear."
That MMO wouldn't survive, in the same way Pokemon will never be a serious esports game.
